Real Estate Auctions
A Smarter Way to Sell Property
Real estate auctions are one of the most misunderstood methods of selling property—and often one of the most effective.
Contrary to what many people assume, my auctions are not foreclosure fire sales. In fact, most properties sold at auction are marketed intentionally to create competition and maximize value.
An auction brings qualified buyers together on a specific date, creating urgency and a competitive environment where the market determines the price—not guesswork, not long negotiations.
Experience You Can Trust
I grew up in the auction business.
Over the past 40+ years, I’ve been directly involved in the sale of more than $1 billion in real estate through auctions.
While in college, I worked alongside my father on large-scale bank-owned (REO) auction programs conducted across the country over many years. These were not one-time events—they were organized in city after city for major lenders, selling large volumes of homes.
On many occasions, we would sell 100 homes a night for four consecutive days in packed hotel ballrooms—often totaling 400 homes in a single event.
It was fast-paced, highly competitive, and one of the best educations I could have received.
Since then, I’ve helped sell a wide range of assets at auction, including:
- Farms and large land tracts
- Residential homes and lots
- Condominiums
- Commercial and industrial properties
- Farm equipment and personal property
- Antiques and specialty assets
Today, I take a more selective approach.
I don’t conduct as many auctions as I once did, primarily because I prefer not to be on the road as much. Instead, I focus on a smaller number of properties where I am confident the auction method will deliver strong results.
Since living in the Golden Isles, I have sold approximately 99% of all properties offered at auction, including properties in:
- Frederica Township
- East Beach
- Vassar Point
- Hidden Harbor Condos
- Brunswick and surrounding areas
I only take on auctions when I am confident they will sell.
I don’t take listings just to have them—I take them to get them sold.
That discipline protects my clients, and it’s a big reason the results are consistent.
Why Sellers Choose the Auction Method
Competitive Bidding Drives Value
When buyers compete openly, the price is pushed by demand—not limited by a listing price.
Defined Timeline, Faster Results
Auctions compress months of uncertainty into a focused marketing period with a clear sale date.
Serious Buyers Only
Buyers come prepared. Due diligence is done upfront, reducing renegotiation and failed contracts.
Maximum Exposure
Auction marketing campaigns are designed to create urgency, attract attention, and bring multiple buyers to the table at the same time.
Transparency
All buyers operate under the same terms. No drawn-out negotiations. No hidden advantages.
Control and Certainty
You know when your property will sell and under what terms.
Clearing Up a Common Misconception
One of the first things people think of when they hear “auction” is foreclosure.
That’s not what I do.
I have never conducted foreclosure auctions. The auctions I handle are intentional, strategic sales designed to create competition and achieve the best possible outcome for the seller.
